The Prague Zoo

Today I went to the Prague Zoo, the one that the Jolie-Pitts and a lot of celebrities donate to. It is also been said that the Prague Zoo is the best zoo in all of Europe. So what did I think? It was gorgeous and reminded me a little of the Magic Kingdom in Disney World. But even the Magic Kingdom doesn't have the individual ski lifts that this zoo does. It was also the PERFECT time for me to get pictures of Pragueistas wearing the flats that I talked about on the July 19th post. One reader, Zapatos, asked me if I had any pictures...well here they are.

Flower Power (thong sandals)

Let's face the facts... the floral trend will never go out of style. It may not be the most poplar trend every season but it will be relevant every season. It is only irrelevant if you are wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt circa 1992.

The first installment of Flower Power will begin with thong sandals and with the next few posts we will venture into more flats, wedges and high heels. Rainy Days

"Rain, Rain go away. Come again another day" is a song that all of us remember singing as children when we were forced to come inside when it rained. It certainly was a downer then and is still now, especially when we have a busy day of running errands. I would get really mad at Mother Nature because it always seemed to rain when I had to be outside(never when it was time to go to sleep..rainy bed time weather is the best). But now Mother Nature and I get along perfectly because I finally have a really cute pair of rain boots. I actually get excited when I have a chance to wear them (that's how cute they are!). It took me a REALLY long time to find a pair of rain boots that were A. cute and B. did not make me look like I was a 5 year old. Prague

I have been in Prague for 2 days now and it is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious and the sights are breathtakingly beautiful. Prague is known as Little Paris because it is as beautiful as Paris, has famous churches, bridges and towers like Paris, but unlike Paris, everything in Prague is close together. The majority of residents take the bus/tram/metro (the transportation system is excellent!) and walk. So it is important to look cute but be comfortable as well. And the Pragueistas, of course, are dressed to kill in great clothes that are comfortable but chic (definitely, not frumpy). This post I am focusing especially on great flats that are donned by all the sane Pragueistas (the crazy ones wear sky-high heels). So copy their style but make it your own for a look that is totally you!

The first group of flats are made by Blowfish, a Malibu, California company. The name of this flat is the SHIMMY and it comes in 4 colors: Black Patent, Bronze Met, Pewter Met and White Patent. Airport Shoe Style

What is your Airport shoe style? Flats, heels, wedges, flip flops? I wear flip flops, mostly for easy slip-on/slip-off action. My flip flops aren't grungy...they have to be cute because I am a Shoeista after all.

While I was in the Frankfurt airport (waiting for my flight to Prague)I noticed the majority of German Shoeistas(Germanistas for short...we all know I am talking about shoes) wore high heels or high wedges. They have a lot more guts than I do. One brave mom wore black patent, 5 inch skinny heels with a baby on her left hip and a baby bag on her right shoulder. I don't know how she did it but one thing is for sure...all the Germanistas looked impossibly chic. I felt really out of place in my flip flops. Flip-flops are not so out of place in American airports because most travelers (who are American) wear flats of some sort. You can always tell who the Europeans are in the U.S. airports because they wear the super high heels.

I was on Shoestation's website (www.shoestation.com) looking for shoes similar to what the Germanistas were wearing so that I can copy their Airport style. And when I travel back to the states I can look impossibly chic too.
